Personal details
Email-address
Please take care to enter your "correct" email address. This is very important to avoid problems in the registration process. If you accidentally enter the email address incorrectly or enter a fictitious email address, you will not receive the Activation-ID required for registration. You can then not complete the registration process successfully and may have to repeat the process. If you do not receive an email even though you have entered a correct email address, please check your spam inbox or other personal filter settings in your email application.
You may have chosen the option to evaluate your inbox according to personal search patterns and to automatically decline or delete spam messages. In this case provider usually offers the option to create a "list of permitted senders" (whitelist). Emails from these listed senders are always accepted. Please add the email address authega@authega.bayern.de and repeat the registration if you suspect that you are affected by this problem.
Date of Birth
It is important that you enter your date of birth correctly to ensure a smooth registration process (personal certificate). If you accidentally enter your date of birth incorrectly or if you use a fictitious birth date, you will not be sent the automatically generated activation code via letter. In this case, you cannot complete the registration process successfully and may have to repeat it.
Security question
When entering your personal data, you also have to select and answer a security question from the list of possible questions. You can later use the security question to delete your personal access to authega or to revoke certificates of the obtained software key. Only you and the authega system have the knowledge about the security question and answer that you are required in order to delete your account.
Comfort-Login
Description
With the "Comfort Login" you can conveniently store your certificate in the browser. This will save you the hassle of searching for your certificate file when you log in and in future you will only need your password to log in. Use the opportunity to import your certificate when logging in. When logging in on third-party or public computers, you should not select the comfort login option. For users of the Apple browser Safari, the selection of the comfort login has only a temporary effect, since Safari deletes the local memory of the browser every 7 days and thus also the stored certificate. Another option of importing your certificate you can find here.
Of course, you can also remove certificates from your browser that have been saved and expired or are no longer required.
Please note that with some updates the offline store of your browser will be emptied. This also applies to the authega certificate file, which is stored in the offline store as part of the comfort login.
Letter code
Here you can import a certificate file you already generated in another browser. Please log in to authega with the other browser and then select in „My user account“ the item „Set up comfort login“. Choose the certificate file to be exported and click the export button („Export certificate file from the browser“) in the „Actions“ column. Copy the letter code from the text field there and then paste it into the input field of the browser into which the certificate file is to be imported.
Alternatively, you can import a certificate file (see „Externally stored certificate files“).
Externally stored Certificate files
If you have a certificate file on your hard drive or another storage device, you can import the file here into your browser.
Safety
LocalStorage is a practical means of reducing traffic between the client and server and thus improving performance. With LocalStorage, data can be saved on the client side. Data is saved and accessed via JavaScript. From now on, the browser can access the saved value and output it. When loading a page, values stored in LocalStorage can be called up and output, such as your certificate.
Delete account
With lock code
Enter your lock code when deleting. This is on the letter you received when you registered. If you no longer have the letter, you can also have the blocking code sent to the email address you provided when registering.
Without lock code
You must be logged in to delete the current account without a lock code. Switch to authega using the "Account information" link and select "Delete account" in the vertical navigation under Service.
